In accordance with International Standards, on January 27, 2003 the European Union issued Directive 2002/95/CEE, also known by the acronym RoHS, limiting the use of dangerous substances in electrical and electronic equipment and Directive 2002/96/CEE, known by the acronym of RAEE, setting the criteria for the collection and recycling of electronic and electrical equipment waste. Both Directives have been enforced in Italy by Legislative Decree n. 151 25/07/2005.
